Welcome to WAOH.

World Ambassadors Of Hope Foundation- WAOH – is a non governmental non-profit making organisation aimed at developing hidden potentials regarding the  marginalised in the society, displaced war veterans and former child soldiers and other victims, supporting them with food, clothing and psychosocial support. These victims are also supported through spiritual motivation, encouraging them to rise above the level of all odds, in order to develop and improve on their lives and the nations´ human resources.

(The spiritual support part of World Ambassadors Of Hope (WAOH) is in collaboration with The Sweden Veteran Church – SVC – (Sveriges Veterankyrka) SVK (www.sverigesveterankyrka.se).

BACKGROUND

World Ambassadors of Hope – WAOH was founded, grounded and established by Aku Angela Tarras-Wahlberg, a Ghanaian born native. She begun unofficially since she was 8 years old. This was a trait she inherited from her late parents who had leadership  positions at the time they were alive. They would normally go round to neighbours knock at their doors asking if there was any help they needed. Aku would follow her late parents to donate food items, playing materials to children, clothes and educational materials to the less previledged in our neighbourhood in Ghana. After Aku’s parents and late brother died she has since emulated this humanitarian act till this day.

In her teens she would voluntarily initiate mobilising people in her neighbourhood through churches to very far villages to donate these items to the marginalised. She later decied to formalise it since 2002 in Ghana and named it World Ambassadors Of Hope Foundation. WAOH has since gained international recognition and worked and spread in Sweden, Liberia, India and Ghana.
